At the Gladys Porter Zoo

It was HOT...but we managed to see most of the zoo. Austin liked this zoo because of the peacocks running around the grounds like wild chickens.

Mmmm, Lunch at the Zoo

We went to the zoo today to see the dinosaur exhibit...they have these large rubber dinosaurs that move and make noises...we waited in line for 30 minutes and Austin began to wail as soon as we reached the first dinosaur! He was scary.

For lunch, Austin opted to have chili-cheese fritos and a water. By the end of lunch, he had chili-cheese frito dust ALL over his face and shirt.

On a positive note, he did drink two additional bottles of water before we left--it was HOT today!

Smile Austin!

Mom's Birthday at the Beach

We went to Galveston on May 24th for mom's birthday. Austin had a real hard time walking in the sand. It kept making him dirty. Luckily, there is an abundance of water (oil-free) to wash off all sand!

Berry Picking

Damon and I took Austin to pick strawberries at King's Orchard last week. We also got to pick blackberries and blueberries. We enjoyed the berries for a few days...then I froze them! I am berried out.

At the Sea Lions

This was actually taken May 7th, 2010...we went to the zoo for Austin's 2nd birthday.
